Follow Discussions

The Feature Guide

The Feature Guide is an in-depth look at the features for Tasks on the Run. If what you're looking for is a quick overview, try taking the Tour.

To make it easier to follow the discussions on your Tasks on the Run website, you have the option to see all the recent comments combined in place. That may present more information than you need, in which case you have an alternative option, which is to view these same comments, but filtered for relevancy to you personally.

How to Follow All Comment Threads

Nearly every task and content item on your Tasks on the Run website has a comments thread. Team members can add comments to blog posts, daily logs, tasks, milestones, groups, notes, and photos.

Both the Team section of your website (where you'll find your Team Blog and other communication tools) and the Folders section (where you'll find your tasking data) have Recent Comments pages. On these pages you can follow all the recent comment threads in one place.

How to Follow Relevant Conversations

Once you get to the point where there are too many conversations going on to follow all of them, you can use the Filtered Comments page on your Dashboard. This page filters comments for relevancy by looking only for those that are related to you in some way, such as:

  • You added the parent item, like a task
  • You have been assigned the parent item, like a milestone
  • You have commented on an item, such as a team blog post

In any of these cases, you will see the comments thread for the item on your Dashboard. There may be a hundred other new comments on your Tasks on the Run website, but your Dashboard will only show you the relevant ones.
