The Feature Guide
Tasks on the Run streamlines the task management process in several ways. Most importantly, basic activities like adding and editing tasks have been designed to be as friction-free as possible with a minimum of clicking, typing and page navigation.
We'll start by showing you how easy it is to add items like tasks or milestones to a project folder, like you see here.

On the Settings page for the folder you can set defaults to specify who a new task is assigned to, and how many days ahead the due date should be. Then when you want to add a task or milestone, it's a simple matter of clicking the Add button, typing a name and pressing enter.

Click, type, enter. Your task or milestone is added.
You can delete tasking items with just a couple of clicks, and you can perform the most common updates just as easily. On any of the Task pages you just click on the calendar to edit the due date. To change the status (lower right), you just click on the status that you want.

You can definitely use fancy multi-step task statusing if you want, as a subsequent topic will demonstrate. Or you can flip a switch on the folder settings page, and treat the tasks in a folder as a simple to-do list.

Tasks are actually a big part of the team collaboration picture as well. To get the most from your team, people should be able to record tacit knowledge as they work. This is why tasks should be more than a checklist. They should provide a place to capture information, host discussion, and be classified in ways that helps people to find them later.
Tasks on the Run support all these things. You can add comments, files, and tags to your tasks. You also have the flexibility to define your own priority levels and categories so that you can classify your tasks.
